Remote Payroll Administrator, Austin

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Remote Payroll Administrator to manage our company’s payroll processes with accuracy and efficiency This role is perfect for either an experienced payroll professional or a motivated beginner with strong numerical skills and a willingness to learn You’ll handle employee payments, tax compliance, and payroll records while working remotely in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
-Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll accurately and on time
- Calculate wages, deductions, overtime, and bonuses based on timesheets/records.
- Ensure compliance with federal/state tax regulations (withholdings, W-2s).
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll inquiries.
- Maintain confidential payroll records and update employee data.
- Assist with year-end payroll reporting and audits.
Requirements For Experienced Candidates:
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g. QuickBooks, ADP, Gusto).
- Knowledge of tax laws and payroll best practices.
For Entry-Level Candidates:
- Strong math, Excel, and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn payroll systems quickly.
- High attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Previous admin, bookkeeping, or data entry experience is a plus.
